Championing purpose-driven change for people, businesses and communities.
My professional experience is quite varied, with a background in accountancy but diversification into the leisure industry, publishing, health and wellbeing. In the last 15 years, I have honed my role as a social entrepreneur and focussed on projects that make a positive difference in our society.
I am particularly passionate about the positive social and environmental impacts solo, micro, and small businesses can create.
Cumulatively, small steps replicated by millions of those small businesses across the UK create HUGE impacts (There are over 5 million small businesses in the UK!). That is why I co-founded the Organisation for Responsible Businesses (ORB) in 2009, to drive the message that Doing Good is Good for Business and encourage positive change.
Small Yet Mighty!
In 2022, my husband and fellow co-founder and I gifted ORB to the membership. While I no longer own the company, and I am a long way past retirement age, I remain the CEO, albeit supported by a female-led Board of Directors, and continue to drive the responsible business movement within the small business community.
